About me
Jessa DeLuca is the Lead Educator for the Mobile Museum of Tolerance
(MMOT) workshop Extension workshop: Combat Hate! In this role, Jessa
brings the vital mission of combating hate into classrooms across Illinois,
working closely with educators and students to foster critical thinking skills
and taking informed action to combat identity-based hate online. Prior to
joining MMOT, Jessa was a high school teacher in Chicago, where she
developed a deep commitment to creating inclusive, equitable learning
environments. Now, as part of the MMOT team, Jessa visits schools across
IL to bring the museum experience into the classroom. Along with
facilitation, she aligns the museum’s curriculum with the Illinois State Board
of Education Standards, ensuring that the programs meet the educational
needs and requirements of diverse school communities.
